Ana Pascu-Bungau
Position within Super Savvy Business: Copywriter & Account Manager
It all started at a Christmas dinner (after a few glasses of wine, of course!) and ended up with throwing Ana in the ocean of digital marketing and business management, and letting her to figure things out on her own…
But before becoming part of the team, Ana went through a lot of other job positions and gained experience in a variety of fields.

Ana completed her studies in the UK, at the University of Birmingham
Awesome Ana-skills are awesome!
You’d be impressed to learn that Ana is familiar with accounting, business management, production processes, and finance, even though she never studied these fields in school.
Possessing a genetically inherited imaginative mind, Ana has always been attracted to photography and creative projects, which which were a major focus for her in highschool. Later on, Ana graduated the Birmingham City University in the UK, her specialty being Advertising.

You simply have to love Ana, her personality is over the top!
“Once I got there [to Uni] I discovered internet media – it really caught my attention”, Ana explains..” I remember one of our lecturers was showing us different examples of media, and when internet came up there was this cartoon with 2 dogs sitting on a chair at a computer, and one of them was saying, ‘On the internet nobody knows you’re a dog.’
It’s true; on the internet it’s just you, your voice, and how you influence others. Nobody cares if you are a big brand on the internet, you just have to offer value.”
Tapping into the world of digital marketing
At that Christmas dinner we mentioned at the beginning of the article Ana and our Team Leader, Marieta, ended up talking about digital marketing. Marieta was on the lookout for a new copywriter, and Ana was immediately attracted to the idea of joining the team.
Marieta was also immediately attracted to the fact that Ana had the required experience in both copywriting and social media, which made her seem like the perfect fit.
When Ana talks about her previous digital marketing experience, she remembers that, “I found this digital agency right outside of Birmingham; they were powerful on SEO. When I went there I started doing copywriting and I really loved the way we were taught how to write the articles: very educational, interesting, always offer something of value, teach the audience something new.”

For Easter, Ana prepared eggs that were portraits of the Super Savvy Business team. Can you guess who is who?
This is a set of skills that Ana brought with her to Super Savvy Business. As she puts it, “I always think about these essential elements when writing articles for our clients at SSB. It’s vital to find an angle that can make articles educational or entertaining – or both!”
So Ana was a perfect fit for the team! But then…
Learning to swim on her own
It was only a few weeks after she started her internal training with Marieta that Ana was left to swim the sea of business & client management on her own.
Marieta suddenly had to take some time off from work. This left Ana all by herself: new team, new clients, new requests, new management tools.
To many, this is a nightmarish scenario. But Ana took it lightly, and saw an opportunity to learn from this experience.

“I like to make fun of things, especially myself if I can”
In fact, to put it in her own words, “What I loved most about SSB when I came here was that Mari was very helpful. She offered a lot of guidance and support, but I also thrived when I had to figure most things without Marieta’s guidance.”
“When I was forced to swim on my own, it was one of the moments when I felt that ‘yeah, I think this is something I really want to do’.”
It was during this challenging time that our Director, Fiona, knew we had found the right person. She handled herself so beautifully in that stressful period and took on a lot of extra responsibility without having someone to lean on!
Always open to new experiences
As part of SSB, you will often find Ana somewhere between writing kick-ass copy for our clients, using her creative mind to innovate on social media campaigns and dealing with daily task management.
Ana is in constant contact with the clients whose accounts she manages, ensuring that all projects are delivering the highest quality services, including content calendars, blog content, social media campaigns, and reporting. Being a ‘people person’, Ana loves the interaction with our clients.

Be fun and light, you must. Turn out well things will this way.
When she talks about her work at SSB, Ana remarks that she loves the culture around the business.
“The culture of SSB is amazing and I value being able to work with like-minded people”, she says. “It’s great to feel comfortable to share your thoughts, ask for feedback, be your own self and come up with ideas and not being afraid that they will just be put on the rug. I love feeling that I can be creative in my own way. “
There is also an element of challenge that Ana enjoys when juggling with multiple clients at once.
“Each client requires a different style of writing and different creative branding – you’d be amazed how subtle the ‘voice’ needs to change from client to client,” Ana highlights. “This allows me to find innovative and creative ideas for each of our clients, and to work out how we can apply these ideas in different niches.”
A quirky Ana unfolds at the end of the working day
Ana is a really laid back person who has a wonderful sense of fun. A strong professional during work hours, she knows how to let her hair down once work is over.
Her dog, Zazu, is a really fun dog that she often brings into the office. “Everybody is fond of her, which makes me happy”, Ana says.

Zazu sleeping at home… ZzZzZz
“I like to make fun of stuff, especially myself if I can,” she laughs.
And by “fun”, she means quirky photo shoots with her dog and her best friend, hanging out with other dog owners in the park, or going for “treasure hunts” into the forest with her husband.
Yes, that’s right: treasure hunts and forests.

The metal detector that makes cool discoveries possible
The Pascu couple always discovers antique objects using Ana’s husband’s metal detector.
The biggest discovery so far is a collection of 206 silver coins from the 16th century. But the list is long; recently, they provided the local museum with a range of tools and weapons from the 17th century. Really cool stuff!

Another discovery: tools and weapons from the 17th century!
And while Ana’s husband is busy scanning the earth for new discoveries, Ana takes her time to photograph the forest’s wildlife. “It’s my favourite part in these expeditions, because I get to photograph the wildlife, especially the deer.”

This little deer was asleep when Ana discovered her, thus the close up photo. Amazing!

One of Ana’s passions is photography, and it mingles perfectly with her love for nature and wildlife
